#W4P 2025:
Endorse Week4Palestine,
Red Card
Israel
1st to 7th May 2025
Join us in a week-long series of events dedicated to raising awareness, fostering solidarity, and advocating for justice and liberation for the Palestinian people. Explore educational workshops, cultural performances, rallies, and more. Together, we can make a difference.
Following the successful sporting boycott against apartheid South Africa in the 1980s, we now call for a similar united front against Israeli apartheid. It’s time for Israeli teams to be excluded from international sporting bodies like UEFA and FIFA. Israel’s long-standing regime of settler-colonialism and apartheid has systematically denied Palestinians their basic rights, including their right to participate in sports. There is no place for racism in sports!

Destruction Of Palestinian Football Infrastructure
Palestinian football has faced devastating attacks, with pitches being transformed into interrogation centres, makeshift refugee camps, field hospitals, and mass graves. Over 66 sports facilities have been partially or fully destroyed, including the headquarters of the Palestinian Football Association (PFA).
The current violence in Gaza and the West Bank has shattered amateur football activities, with the West Bank league cancelled due to settler violence. The Israel Football Association (IFA) not only supports this occupation but also stifles the PFA, benefiting from governmental funding while ignoring ongoing human rights abuses.

The popular slogan from the South African Council of Sports Boycott rings true today: “No normal sport in an abnormal society.” By remaining silent, football organisations enable Israel to cleanse its image while continuing the forced displacement and genocide of Palestinians. In stark contrast, these same organisations swiftly sanctioned Russia, yet turn a blind eye to Israel’s violations for decades. At the May 17th FIFA Congress, President Gianni Infantino rejected calls to suspend Israeli teams, stating that a legal review will be conducted later. It’s time for world governments and sports associations to stand in solidarity with Palestine and support the motion to suspend Israel.

We know too well that our freedom is incomplete without the freedom of the Palestinians.
